KIA New Zealand proudly returns to the front of the Hurricanes’ away jersey, marking the exciting extension of their partnership for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
The two organisations have enjoyed a longstanding relationship, with 2025 being the 10th year of the partnership.
“Moving into our 10th season together is a real testament to the depth of the relationship that we have been lucky enough to form with the team at KIA New Zealand. We take a lot of care and pride in working with such a globally recognised brand, and we feel that reciprocation of care from KIA with the Hurricanes brand too. It’s been a true partnership in that sense” says Hurricanes CEO, Avan Lee.
“KIA were pioneers when they became the Super Rugby competition’s first standalone away jersey sponsor,” Lee added, “The Hurricanes wear the KIA logo with pride, as a symbol of our immense gratitude for their continued support.”
The partnership has evolved since its inception, with KIA undergoing a complete rebrand in 2021, shifting its focus to innovation, sustainability, and design, aligning with the Hurricanes’ own ongoing journey of growth and transformation, both on and off the field.
KIA New Zealand General Manager, Todd McDonald was thrilled to lock in another two years with the Hurricanes, “It’s been fantastic being a part of the Hurricanes’ journey, and we’re excited to extend our partnership for another couple of seasons. The partnership aligns with our local vision, as well as the global direction KIA is taking to inspire movement. The Hurricanes are a great example both on and off the field in this area.”
“Our partnership of 10 years showcases the strength of relationship and respect we have for one another. We’re all about innovation and excitement, and we know the Hurricanes will bring plenty of that in the years ahead. We look forward to seeing them perform on-field as well as how they will continue to engage their great fans!”
The Hurricanes will be donning their KIA away jerseys for Round One of the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season, kicking off on 14 February in Christchurch.
